I started running in October 2015 and have become obsessed by it since then. My favourite distance is the marathon and I have completed three of them so far, with a best time of 2:59. I live and work in Beijing, where the food is great but the pollution is not.

What are you currently training for?

I am currently training for the Yorkshire Marathon in October 2017, aiming for a time of 2:45. See my Training Diary page for the latest updates.

How do you decide what training to do?

I’m following the 70-85 mile plan in Advance Marathoning by Pete Pfitzinger and Scott Douglas (2009). It’s a detailed and comprehensive guide to improving your marathon times without taking any shortcuts.
